All of these things are spot on. I really do think, though, that Eric is over Sookie. I think he’s just tying up loose ends at this point but he should definitely be leaving her to unravel.
I agree. Eric went above and beyond for Sookie, even unknowingly putting Pam in danger. Let’s not forget that Pam is on that table because Eric went to Sookie to let her know that he was fine. As if she gives a shit.
I thought this last episode was really awful.
Hoyt turned into a killer.
Granted, Violet deserved it, but really… Is there something special in the water in Alaska? Can Hoyt have changed THAT much in what, a year time and turned into this bad-ass killing machine? They erased his memory, they did not give him a personality transplant. He swooped in, shot her and did not think on it ever again. Like, what? He is so used to shooting another being and not feeling anything about it?
Pam tied up in the dungeon.
Besides obvious reasons (my poor Pam!), I hated that scene because it was a huge deja vu. She is on the table, Eric walks in with a look of total despair. Could they not have made an effort and not copy the entire scene with the Magistrate?
At this point I only hope it will end in the same way.
Bill’s speech to Eric.
Need I say more?
Eric acting as marriage counselor.
I’m sorry, but the Eric I came to know and love is NOT this guy. I don’t care that he did it for Sookie. If anything, it makes it worse. Do I really think that a thousand years old Viking Vampire God is not only incapable of getting over this little girl, but willing to stomp on his pride for this so obviously unrequited love?
No, I don’t.
Friendship, you say? Eric knows perfectly well what true friendship looks like (Pamela, anyone?) and he has to know that Sookie is not his friend. That “mediation” he got going is totally out of character. Or, at the very least, implies a personality shift so big that is just not credible (if we’re talking about a 1000yo vampire not written by Buckner). Sorry
not sorry but I’ve never understood how and/or why Eric has fallen so hard for Sookie. There, I said it.
Eric declaring his love/affection to Sookie
And the sound of crickets that followed. Together with her “yeah, whatever, let’s go back to Bill, please”
I never disliked a character more than I did Sookie at that very moment. Cold and selfish.
Eric “sex scene” with Ginger.
I swear, it was so unreal that I thought it was Ginger dreaming of it. So, Eric is pissed off, wounded by Sookie, and he never gave two shits about Ginger. He is walking away and then, BAM! Turns around and says “let’s fuck!”
I refuse to rethink about that mess on the throne.
Was that supposed to be comic relief? ‘cause I didn’t laugh. I cringed. Almost as bad as the threesome mess. And if, by chance, it was Eric’s reaction to the exchange with Sookie well…
